To be a Christian is to be a warrior.

The good soldier of Jesus Christ must not expect to find ease in this world: it is a battle-field.

Neither must he reckon upon the friendship of the world; for that would be enmity against God.

His occupation is war.

Valiant Hearts!

Are zealous for the TRUTH!

DO NOT draw back, but push forward against all opposition to advance the cause of the KING of Kings.

Like Joshua and Caleb, who searched out the promised land and did not shrink back at the prospect of taking the land, though it be filled with giants!

If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.  Numbers 14:8-9

Like Jonathan, who standing against all odds, defeated an entire garrison of Philistines!

…it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.  1 Samuel 14:6

And David, in his youth, full of faith and trust in the Living God, advanced against the giant Goliath and overcame him with a sling and a stone!

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. 1 Samuel 17:50

Valiant hearts are undaunted in their stand for the TRUTH! Even when their stand takes them right into the jaws of death!

Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who did not bow down to the idols of the land, though it landed them in a fiery furnace!

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Daniel 3:28

And mighty Daniel, who filled with zeal for His God, continued in devoted service and prayer, though it lead him to a den of hungry lions!

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.  Daniel 6:26-27

Valiant hearts manifest a bold and courageous faith that ignites a fire and passion in some and vehement opposition in others!

Like Peter, on the day of Pentecost, who delivered a fiery sermon that added 3,000 souls to the church!

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:37-38

And Stephen, who unashamedly testified against the wicked rulers of his nation…

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.  Acts 6:10

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.  Acts 7:54-56

And Paul, who steadfastly testified of Christ unto all he encountered and was evil entreated for his testimony…

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.  Acts 26:20-21

History records the valiant and noble lives of these men and many others who have unflinchingly hazarded their lives for the TRUTH and testimony of Christ!

The Living God was their Victor, Deliverer, Shield, Defender and Protector!

Their testimony of His Presence in their lives turned the world up-side-down!

Should we do anything less?
